How many times have you tried to explain to your friends and family what public relations actually is?
Nowadays, the lines are blurry and public relations seems to encompass a much wider range of strategies and media as ever used before.
But have no fear because the Public Relations Society of America is establishing a modern definition as part of their “Public Relations Defined” campaign.
The elected definition will hopefully provide a succinct reference to explain our profession.
They’ve narrowed it down to three options which you can actually vote for.
Although the term will be officially redefined in the dictionary, I think leading PR professionals will continue to constantly evolve and redefine themselves.
